Video 2
Tips for video 2:
1. Write out a nice script, it makes it easier than trying to improve it and shooting each step a few times.
2. Have someone help you with the camera work, makes it easier to get through the shots and for editing on the back-end.
3. Speak slowly so all your instructions are easy to follow.
4. Remember to consider lighting as you're setting up your shots.

Prezi
Tips for creating a Prezi:
1. I had problems with Prezi importing my PowerPoint as a PDF so I had to convert it to JPGs and that worked. If you have problems with the format, switch it up and Prezi may respond.
2. After you've imported your PowerPoint, paly around with slide placement so your main title page still shows under all the slides.
3. Try some new backgrounds to better display your slides. My slides were white when I imported them and the default white background kind of washed out, so I tried a background with a bit of yellow.
4. Watch it a few times before you settle on the final product.

Video 1
Tips for creating your video:
1. Don't worry about the camera you're using. I used a small cannon point-and-shoot on the video setting and it turned out fine.
2. Make sure the lighting is good for your shots.
3. Take more video than you plan to use, in case you need some more footage once you start editing.
4. If you're using iMovie you can just drag all your clips in at once and then move them around to the order you'd like them to appear.

End of an era?
The other day I was talking to a professor who told me that high school students are gaining more and more opportunity to take classes online. I think it's a great option for students, especially for seniors who only have a few classes to finish in order to graduate and they're sick of high school. However, I wonder if there's a line that could be crossed where students will start being educated too much online or at too early an age? Maybe it's naivety from a guy who still has some unrealistic thoughts about what effect a teacher can have on a student, but isn't there intrinsic value in face-to-face contact with classmates and educators? At least during the formative years? Who's making these decisions about online education, and are they weighing the loss of classroom socialization along with financial (I assume financial benefits are what would drive any move towards online education) gains?
